September inspiration by Vera Shelemekh

Hello Blue Fern Studios Fans! Vera Shelemekh is here with amazing Amber and Apricot inspiration. I'm in a flourish mood this month so all of my projects are full of wonderful Apricot flowers.

The first layout is dedicated to a bicycle ride. This photo was taken specially for the russian Scrapbooker of the year contest last summer (I never ride a bike with a newspaper in my hands in normal life).

This piece of printed chipboard inspired my to create this layout.
I framed the photo into small Krystal's frame covered with my favourite icicle embossing powder. In the layers of flowers you will also find beautiful Fading blooms chipboards covered with baby pink and avocado embossing powders.
The layout is decorated with fussy cut flowers from the Amber and Apricot Tweet meloody and the Flora papers.
I also added some elements from Lace 4.

With a lot of yellow and brown flowers it makes Autumn so soft and warm. The composition consists of  Amber & Apricot printed chipboards, fussy cut roses from Yesteryear paper...

The is also some Honey bits stamping on background.

and I added here and there bees stamped with Amber accents.

I love the look of Mustard Seedlings here. Just like drops of honey )

Easy and simple with Galina Sazonova. July Projects.

Hi everyone!
Today I want to show you how easy and simple you can make useful and beautiful things.) This will help me packing from chipboard and excellent product Blue Fern Studios!)
I collect antique dolls and have a lot of fabrics, laces and ribbons to them. Some of them are very beautiful and rare enough, so I would like save small pieces and information about them.
But I would like to start with its first project -  card-motivator, which has developed in the process of working on a folder-album.)
1. "Follow your dreams"

 And a little more ...

2. Mini-album for the cute ribbons and lace) ....

As you can see the base of the album - packing from chipboard.
also actively used stamps for decorating chipboarda and background of mini album.
And a little bit more on the page ....

July colours with Jelissa

Hello friends!

I'm in today to share two projects I've created for Blue Fern Studios, using the Ombre Dreams paper collection, as well as their beautiful chipboard pieces.

Lucky

My first project is a layout of my two boys.

I've used Charlotte's Dream from the Ombre Dreams collection as my background paper and added some misting, masking with texture paste and random stamping to further highlight the beautiful watercolor effects already printed on the paper itself. I also used a cut out from Dream Cards as a subtitle.

The "Lucky" chippie from Charmed Page Dangles was cut into two pieces and the word used as my title. I did some heat embossing in black and smeared purple dimensional paint over for highlight.

The other half of the chipboard was first colored with gelato, followed by some stamping with Versamark and heat-embossing.

I used only one piece of the Honeycomb bits here, but snipped it into three parts which I layered throughout my page. It was first misted followed by random sprinkling with a mauve-tinted embossing powder.

All Dressed Up

My second project is a mixed media canvas I made as a birthday gift for a very talented friend who runs her own fashion designing label.

When I saw the Sweetheart dress form, I knew it was meant for her and there is also a similar mannequin on display in her office reception.

The chipboard was covered with gesso and I made a dress out of some organza curtain fabric, which I decorated with some tulle and organza roses, aqua sequins and mini paper roses. I also snipped the Majestic Frame in half and covered it with gold glitter.

My little cluster here is full of bits from the Miss Tailor set. I covered the spool with a fine layer of gold shimmer. The buttons I used Liquid Pearls and for the scissors I used my gold textured paste. The other half of the majestic frame is tucked beneath the flowers and also dipped in gold glitter.

That's all I have for today. Do check back soon for more inspiration from the rest of the lovely DT!

{3} Projects with Patter

Hello! It's Patter Cross with you today sharing my October projects. Today I have two layouts and a card. So, let's get started with a layout.

Pretty as a Picture
This is an 8 1/2 x 11 layout of one of my daughters and her new haircut. All of my girls have naturally curly hair, and trying to find a hairstyle can be difficult. We think this one is a keeper. :)

I used the scissors from the Miss Tailor Set since the layout was about my daughter's haircut. I added various silver paints and a silver brad so that the scissors would look more realistic. I also used leaves from the Natural Sprigs set. I added watercolors, mists, and embossing powders to vary the colors and textures on the leaves.
For the title, I used the Pretty as a Picture chipboard piece. I started with a layer of gesso then added various pink paints and mists to get the colors you see below.

A Fall Card
The new Fall Foliage chipboard by Blue Fern Studios was perfect for this Fall card. I have plenty of inspiration around as I watch the leaves changing in our yard. I am sure a lot of you do also!

I misted the leaves with water to peel up the edges and make them look realistic. I then covered them with various mists, embossing powders, and gelatos to make the color of each leaf different.

Say Cheese
For this 8 1/2 x 11 layout, I used photos of the little girl my daughter takes care of. She is such a cutie. Each layout I create, I give to her mom to put in an album I have given to the family. She does not scrap so I hope she enjoys this latest page for the album!

To color the Broken Rings chipboard, I added a layer of gesso then various paints and mists to get a variation of color on the rings.
On the title "Say Cheese" piece from the Picture Perfect set, again I added gesso, paints, and mists to get the different colors of orange you see. I liked the dotted effect too. Sometimes when my mister causes these dots, I will smooth them out with a paintbrush but I left the dots this time.

I hope you have enjoyed my creations today and that you are inspired to grab some Blue Fern Studios chipboard and begin creating! Thanks for stopping by!
